Ham Radio Outlet Privacy Statement

Your privacy is our foremost concern. To protect your privacy and ensure quality service HRO retains only your name, address, telephone number, callsign and buying history in our computer system. HRO does NOT retain credit card, social security or drivers license numbers in our computers. HRO considers the limited information we retain as confidential, and it is not shared with anyone outside of HRO. By not retaining your credit card information in our computers we have reduced the possibility of credit card theft to ZERO.

Shopping privacy and security:
Online purchases you make from Ham Radio Outlet are considered confidential and information that you enter on our WEB site is not redistributed or used in any way other than the purposes as stated. Entry of your name and address for our mail catalog does put you on our mailing list for our printed catalog. You may be removed from this list by sending us written notification.

Your e-mail address is sent to United Parcel Service [UPS] so that they may send you an e-mail with UPS tracking information. If you do not want your e-mail address to be sent to UPS, you may specify this on your on-line order form in the comments field or advise your salesperson when you call your order in. UPS does not use the e-mail address for any purpose other than to send you the e-mail about the specific order you have placed at that time.

When you place an order using our secure on-line ordering system we may have to contact your credit card issuer for security verification or, in the case of shipment to an address other than your home address may require us to contact your place of work or persons at the delivery address for your order.

E-mail security issues:
As you may be aware, there are many variants of e-mail messages being sent with header information that can be falsified {spoofed}. Since some variants of e-mail viruses can change the header information of e-mails you might receive, it can appear that we [HRO] are sending a message to you when we are not.

HRO does not have e-mail lists and does not sell, rent or otherwise disclose any information you submit to us.
